A control tower is a single capability that monitors, analyses and orchestrates operations in near real time, pulling data from systems that would otherwise each hold their own version of the truth. The term comes from supply chain planning, where control towers watch orders, inventory and freight end to end.
A warehouse control tower narrows that idea to the four walls, and makes it operational rather than observational. Instead of tracking shipments between sites, it watches what happens inside them: how work flows, where cost accumulates, which locations are full, whether storage still complies with policy, and how each site compares to the rest of the network.
