Velocity-based slotting

Fast movers forward, slow movers dense — re-slotted as demand drifts, not once a year.

Velocity is read per pricing tier, not as one blended rate for the SKU — a case-price account and a broken-case account can move the same line at very different speeds. A slot gets set for whichever pattern actually dominates instead of landing on an average that suits neither customer segment well.

Pick-face sizing

Match slot size to real throughput so replenishment stops eating your picking hours.

Sizing treats broken-case and full-case picking as separate rhythms, not one throughput number for the SKU — a broken-case face empties far faster than the case face beside it. Each gets a slot sized to how it actually drains, so the broken-case line stops running dry mid-shift while its case-pick sibling still has stock.

Replenishment tuning

Analyse replenishment patterns and cut the touches between reserve and pick face.

Trigger points get separated — mid-wave pulls from pre-shift top-ups — and consolidated across the pricing-tier variants of what is functionally the same base item. Instead of a separate trip for each price code of one product, reserve stock moves once and the pick face gets topped for every tier together.

Case and pallet flows

Full-pallet, layer and case picking optimised together instead of fighting for the same aisles.

Each flow gets its own path and timing window through the model — a full-pallet route computed separately from the case-pick route through the same building, instead of both drawn against one shared aisle graph. When demand shifts for one flow, only that flow's schedule recalculates; the others keep running the plan they already had.

Seasonal re-slotting

Simulate the seasonal profile and re-slot ahead of it — evidence first, moves second.

The coming season's expected order patterns and case-pallet mix get replayed against the current layout before a single move list is issued — projected labour cost and travel sit next to the plan from the start. Operations approves the re-slot on the numbers instead of vetoing it later over a cost nobody showed them.

Space utilisation

Empty-location and stock analysis that finds the capacity you already own.

Stock sitting in a bay for a reason — aged inventory, or lines held back on a customer's credit decision — doesn't get counted as free just because the location shows empty. That stops a re-slot plan from sending a pallet into a location that only looks empty on paper, keeping the move list honest about what's actually there.
