Wearable scanners
ProGlove-class wearables: hands-free scans become pick events with precise timestamps.
The wearable pairs over Bluetooth with a phone or terminal already on the belt, so rollout means clipping on a scanner, not provisioning a new device fleet. Hands stay on the case being picked, and the timestamp lands at the moment of the scan, not whenever the associate next reaches for a handheld to log it.
Handheld terminals
Zebra- and Honeywell-class Android terminals — the workhorse event source in most warehouses.
The integration sits alongside the WMS client already running on the terminal, reading the same scan events rather than requiring a second app or a parallel device fleet. Whatever's already issued to the floor — last year's model or this year's replacement order — plugs in without a hardware refresh forced by the twin.
Forklift & MHE telemetry
Location and utilisation feeds from trucks enrich travel-time and congestion analysis.
The feed comes off the telematics unit most trucks already carry, so a mixed fleet — different brands, different ages — doesn't mean fitting aftermarket trackers to make everything comparable. One truck's dwell time at a dock reads the same way as another's, regardless of which manufacturer built it.
Voice picking
Voice task confirmations map onto the twin's event model like any scan.
A site running voice-only, with no handheld or wearable scanner in sight, still lands full coverage in the twin — the confirmation protocol the headset already speaks is what gets read, not a new layer bolted on top of it. Nobody has to carry a second device just to be visible to the model.
RTLS & indoor location
Real-time position data sharpens travel models and powers location-aware analysis.
Instead of inferring the route between two scan points, continuous position data from the beacon network already installed shows the path actually walked — the detour around a blocked aisle, the loop back for a forgotten tote. The travel model gets the real trace, not the straight-line assumption between waypoints.
IoT & environmental sensors
Temperature, door and motion data joins compliance monitoring and alerts.
Readings come from whatever sensor network the building already runs for BMS or security — no separate IoT deployment just to feed the twin. A door contact installed for access control and a temperature probe installed for a cold chain both report into the same model without new wiring.
